Listen to an audio version of a book on C.D. or tape cassette.

Take turns reading to a friend or parent.

Read the book by yourself and tell someone about your favorite parts.

Record yourself reading the book or parts of the book a second time.

Make a list of the books you have read. Use a code to indicate how you felt about each book.

Visit the public library and explore the different sections.

Check out a poetry book and make copies of your favorite poems.

Read a "how to" book from the non fiction section and learn how to do something new (like card, magic or yo-yo tricks, identifying backyard animals, crafts, science experiements...)

• Organize a book swap in your neighborhood with books you and your friends already read. You'll have new books to read for free!
