• Take turns reading to a friend or parent.
• Read the book by yourself and tell someone about your favorite parts.
• Record yourself reading the book or parts of the book a second time.
• Make a list of the books you have read. Use a code to indicate how you felt about each book.
• Visit the public library and explore the different sections.
• Check out a poetry book and make copies of your favorite poems.
• Read a "how to" book from the non fiction section and learn how to do something new (like card, magic or yo-yo tricks, identifying backyard animals, crafts, science experiements...)
• Organize a book swap in your neighborhood with books you and your friends already read. You'll have new books to read for free!
