Hunt Extended Day Program provides before and after school care for students on a first-come, first-served basis. Our team is dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children can thrive both socially and academically.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;text-align: left\">Students enrolled in morning care will begin their day in the cafeteria. They can bring breakfast from home or purchase breakfast when the cafeteria opens at 7:45. Morning care is a smaller, mixed-age group, offering students time to socialize and enjoy coloring and free play before school starts. Our activities coincide with your child\u2019s age and grade level.\u00a0 Weekly activities include, but are not limited to, arts &amp; crafts, S.T.E.A.M challenges and projects, food activities, organized sports, movement and fitness, and a free day on Friday.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;text-align: left\">Students also have the opportunity to participate in on-site enrichment experiences with community partners. Examples include visits from the St. Augustine Fire Department, where students learn about fire safety, explore a fire truck, and take part in a hands-on demonstration, as well as educational presentations from local organizations such as the St. Augustine Mosquito Control District. These experiences offer engaging, real-world learning opportunities while strengthening students\u2019 connection to the community.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;text-align: left\">In addition, students participate in service-learning opportunities, such as creating cards for local nursing home residents and veterans. These activities help foster empathy, kindness, and an understanding of the importance of giving back.
